1.31.14

Glenn had one of those shows where he just kind of talked to himself. This after a discussion with 'Duff', and thoughts about today's 'Hotline'. Glenn still thinks our local congressional race is 'up for grabs'. Glenn also reflecte on the advantages of extending the 'Keystone' pipeline. Some talks about Jay Leno's last show and the 'true' meaning of 'thug' in Glenn's opinion.

We're back on a Monday, with basically the same outlook on things like we left off with on Friday. Good show, with the normal callers who get Glenn going on the current lib agenda.

Friday's are usually fun, and don't get me wrong, today was a fun show, but it seems Glenn can't stop talking about the Progressive trend in America, and how it's contagious to all libs who are showing their 'true' colors, ie Governor Andrew Cuomo and his statements about extreme conservatives in NYS.

It's the 'Fence' issue again, and people are wondering why? Then, it was more of Governor Cuomo's recent comments about abolishing 'extreme' speech in New York State.

Wow, many callers today, so Glenn went from one caller to another. First, a clarification from Danny Francis, and a follow up from a caller from yesterday. Then, it was the 'left vs. the right' again, as Glenn reflects on why 'Dems' thrive from each other's progressive ideology.

Tuesday with Joe included Christie's woes and how MSNBC is covering it. Glenn thanks the Noon fill-in hosts for doing the show! Plus, a 'remember when' call from the 'Duff', and the usaal banter on a (-24)degree day.

Are Republicans an endangered species? Glenn seems to think so. That's why our 'new' congressional race shows some promise for our district. Glenn feels there needs to be a balance in political thought, and hopefully, as a republican district we can reclaim some of that again.

Ok, late again for a Friday show, but here it is. Glenn was very tired today, I think you'll hear it here.

The Oscar nominations are out, but Glenn can't find the list. He kinda does later, but spoke mostly about the need for a familiar face in this year's run for congress. Some observations in between all of this, including more about Christie's problems and how he's new prey to the MSNBC crowd.

We're alone again, so let's talk more about the big story! That's 'what's up' with our local congressional race from this point looking forward. Glenn spoke about that to a series of good callers today.

Wow, Congressman Bill Owens isn't running this year! Who's up for the challenge? Joe Stanley was back on a Tuesday speaking with Glenn about the 'what ifs' with the George Washington Bridge scandal in Jersey, then the story about the 737 that landed in the wrong airport. From there it was Glenn's critique of covering local hockey games and other local sports.

Back on a Monday, as Glenn fields calls and talks to a woman who loves Mike Savage. Then it's a talk about Francesa and Johnny Carson with the 'Movie Guy'. Then Glenn gives his opinion of the new latenight TV schedule.

Seems Glenn is getting back into his 'groove' and the phones were working today, which is great! Good discussions, mostly about the trend to extend unemployment benefits to 5 years. Glenn feels people are settled with the notion that whatever they were making 5 years ago, is the only number they will pay attention to, and nothing less.

Who will stop the snow? No one knows, but Glenn did make it back to town from his father's funeral. It was one of those 'bad' phone days due to the weather, but Glenn did spend the second part of today's show to talk about his dad's funeral and seeing relatives he hasn't seen in a long time.

It's a frigid day in the neighborhood, as Glenn talks about the weather, the latest Star Trek Movie, and a tribute to his dad Joe who passed away today at 86. See you next Tuesday, stay warm.

Whoa, a New year! And Glenn got it started with in-studio guest Kris Marsala who stopped by for the Arts Council event at Sboros. Kris gets in toward the middle, the rest is Glenn chatting to himself and Little Q. Duff admires Glenn's preparation to today's show, kidding.
