12.31.7

It's the last day of the year, and our 'so-called host' had plenty on his mind. Some football trivia too with Sam Verbeck, as well as a look at Rod Serling and his 'Twilight Zone' legacy. Too bad about Jim Leyritz, which should also remind us not to get too crazy on the last night of the year. Hope you all have a great New Years' Day! See you all next year!

What's the matter with our neighborhood? Listen to our so-called hosts' reasoning from today's very socially sensitive show!

12.27.7

Things just get more and more interesting, despite the fact that no one else is providing 'live' talk radio. Our 'so-called host' had a whopper of a conversation with a new listener dubbed 'Milwaukee Walt'. Walt had a 15 minute conversation with Glenn explaining his plight with drinking beer. Other stuff too today, including an inside look at the Academy St. fire and the top ten stories of 2007.

MP3 File

12.26.7

Glenn was very excited about his new toy, a toy that allows him to actually play with himself. Listen to his Christmas stories and more, including Jim Leven, for an 'after-Christmas' special with your so-called host! Oh, plenty of talk about the guy who is accused of starting the Academy St. fire.

MP3 File

12.21.7

Great Friday before Christmas show, listen and find out why! Have a Happy and Safe CHRISTmas Season!

They say it's your birthday! That's right, after the first few minutes of today's show it was very clear that today was our 'so-called' host's 45th Birthday! Although in-studio guest, Reverend Tim LaBauf didn't know this, it all turned out well in the end. Many calls from well-wishes throughout the program too, including Glenn's parents, his friend Karen, MJ, Victor, Dan the Dem and 'Big Steve'. See you all tomorrow!

12.19.7

Looks like the sky wasn't quite the 'limit' for Watertown, as 'Big Sky' airlines announced today they're pulling out of the region. This sparked a call from a former airport employee who knew it would happen. Then it was 'Crazy Ray' and Glenn talking about Princess Leaigh from 'Star Wars'. Hey, Mayor Graham called and then it was all politics from there, including the State Senate race and city hall raises.

MP3 File

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

12.18.7

It was another day without our 'so-called' host. Glenn was out yesterday but back today with weekend stories about his basketball game, an empty bed & breakfast and another spectacular stay over on a mountain-top resort with his wife, brother and sister-in-law. Things did get political today with discussions over the latest pay raises at city hall. Good show, see you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Friday, December 14, 2007

12.14.7

A tired Glenn Curry took calls throughout the show regarding the Mitchell Report. Our so-called host was somewhat surprised with today's response. Good chatter on both sides of the steroid issue. Have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, December 13, 2007

12.13.7

Too bad if you're on the Mitchell Report for Steroid use, but if you're not...good for you! Anyway, the Baseball report, Dan the Dem's bird cage story and much more. Oh, the show starts off with a 'lively' conversation from Beau at the High Life. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Wednesday, December 12, 2007

12.12.7

Once again, Glenn is back from 'Sickbay', which explains his absense yesterday. For today, we started things with a lovely lady who liked the program and wouldn't miss it! From there it was a show about pink signs on front lawns. This was an extension to this past weeks' council debate regarding 'sex-offenders'. Glenn tried to make sense of reality, but some callers wouldn't have it.

MP3 File

Monday, December 10, 2007

12.10.7

Plenty on the plate today. An apartment complex fire, a convenient store robbery and a female school teacher is officially chareged with rape. Active stories make for an active show. Listen to scores of calls about all these issues. Plus, a little Dr. Laura stuff too today, as one listener can't understand the actions of his estranged wife. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

12.7.7

SG in the studio today, a very lively show today, but Glenn has to go to the Christmas Party in Alex Bay! Have a Happy Weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, December 6, 2007

12.6.7

Hey! We're back in the saddle again! Glenn was out sick yesterday and Tuesday show was never posted. Looks like Glenn's over the counter cold remedy isn't working out. He did get into local stories right at the outset, including the tragic story at the Black River paper mill. Glenn was amazed how honest the employees were about safety issues. Other items from today included security at our schools, boxing with John Gibbons and SG has a media story to share with us tomorrow! See ya!

Man it's slippery outside, but as long as you're inside with the radio on, it's as warm as can be. Anyway, enough of that hogwash, today was the Glenn and Jim show and highlights included Imus on 92.7, NFL football coaches are dumber than ever and some Sam Elliot talk too. Plus, the 'Intelligent Guy' was not too happy with Jim preventing Glenn from talking about M.I.L.F.

MP3 File

11.30.7

Under a black cloud of winter weather, our 'so-called' host had a good Friday show. Nothing too over the top, just good afternoon radio. Some fun with the number 69, George wanted to know how to open his Brazilian nuts and Lefty, SG and Victor chimed in as well. See you Monday!

MP3 File

Thursday, November 29, 2007

11.29.7

Glenn needs a clock radio, Kinney Drugs is having a flu clinic, Sam Verback is 50, John Moore did a Dog Park story and Jim Leven probably won't buy a jet any time soon. These are just some of the topics of interest from today's show on a gloomy cloudy day in Watertown, New York.

MP3 File

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

11.28.7

It's a Doggie Dog show once again with our friend SG. SG sat in today as Glenn's co-host to remind everyone about his last big public meeting regarding the Dog Park this Saturday. Glenn does break away from the Dog Park issue throughout the show to provide other 'vital' elements to the show, including his weekly Police 'Blotter' report, one last 'Dancing With the Stars' report with 'Dan the Dem', a radio report with Victor and a funny story of a soldier arrested for stealing DVDs from the mall. Find out which titles he took from the shelves.

MP3 File

11.27.7

Jessica Simpson was in the studio today! No not that Jessica, the Jessica who sells Passion Parties! That's adult novelties instead of a tupper ware party! Our so-called host had some fun with the topic and took a call from a satisfied customer who chimed in about the toys she purchased. Then, out of the blue, the 'lovely' Sharon called from Scotland too! Dan the Dem called after Sharon did to let Glenn know that he should have let Sharon talk longer. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Monday, November 26, 2007

11.26.7

We're back from Turkey weekend and Glenn already has a problem with too many Christmas songs on the radio. He also saw some crappy Christmas stuff too this weekend including the movie 'Deck the Halls'. A little chatter about the football race and a conversation about the guy who got tasered for walking away from an officer of the law. Also, Glenn went on about the poor slob who tried to evade the police in Watertown again.

Who takes off on the day before a holiday? It's not our so-called host, Glenn couldn't wait to entertain the masses with his meaningles banter. So, sit back and relax, open your belt after a large Thanksgiving meal and listen to the last show of the week. Today's show includes Glenn's thumbs up review of 'Bridges of Madison County'. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Uneventful, that's a good word to describe today's show. However, don't fret, there's some good stuff on today's show. Including, the latest Mr. Moot news, the hot girl on Dancing With the Stars, a comparison between 'Gunnut' and Jim Leven from the Extrovert, plus the latest on the dog park news from SG. See you all tomorrow and remember the Square Cam not only works, it's bigger and better than ever!

11.19.7

Looks like our 'so-called' host had plenty of sleep this weekend! That's good, but maybe he could have shaved off some hours, because he's talking faster than ever! Anyway, things were moving along at a nice stride today until Jim Leven called from his office acknowledging some 'liberal' type movie he viewed last week. Then our friend the 'GunNut' called in slamming Jim for not being patriotic to the 'cause'. Needless to say, Jim then came into the studio to continue the 'battle'. George chimed in too on the issue as did 'Dan the Dem'.

MP3 File

Distracted, somewhat confused, yet surprisingly interesting, especially when Glenn was forced to hang up on the Duff today. But, as our so-called host said, call him Glenn Murphy. When you need everything to go right, sometimes, it just doesn't happen. Sharon pops in at the end too, have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, November 15, 2007

11.15.7

Our somewhat 'lively' host had a lot to say today. First, it was George who had issues with Assemblyman Darrel Aubertine, then Dan the Dem still thinks Glenn is too superficial, OJ Simpson, some 'play' with words with Sam Verback, then Leven stepped in to finish the Duff 'Rotten Apple' story. Good show!

MP3 File

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

11.14.7

Well, we didn't have a show yesterday because Glenn was court-side at the SU Basketball game last night. So, for starters, Glenn talked about his VIP experience, Roxanne Burns official win, and why do cheerleaders and skateboard kids make so many errors. Also, Jeff Graham chimed in about foot deoxifications.

MP3 File

Monday, November 12, 2007

11.12.7

Who says I'm dumb?! That was the question that was burning inside Glenn's mind today. This was in reaction to Bob Gorman's Jeff Graham article in yesterday's Watertown Times. Obviously Glenn got out the best 'soundbite' he could find...Joe Pesci's, 'What do you think I'm a clown or something'. Many callers including the Duff who compared Jeff and Tim LaBauf to two rotten apples. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

11.9.7

Late again, but managed to create a worth listening radio show! Well, as our so-called host stumbled into the show late again, he did seem a bit frazzled at first, then the lights went out. However, from there it was your normal show, until 'Dan the Democrat' called with a harrowing story about a Docksin dog getting eatin' alive from a German Shepherd. This put the host and everyone afterwards into a bad mood. Still, it's worth listening to, heck it happened decades ago!

MP3 File

Thursday, November 8, 2007

11.8.7

Sit back and relax to this well-rounded show! It touches on everything from drive-thru coffee stories to gang avtivity in our local high schools. Plus, John Gibbons had a story about a foul-mouthed 17 year old at a football game. Oh, it seems the 'Duff' and Glenn would make terrible accountants, because neither of them could do simple percentage calculating when talking about making pizza pies.

MP3 File

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

11.7.7

So, some election surprises and not-so surprises. So, Jeff Graham is the man, Butler topped the list, and we won't know if its Roxanne or Rice until next Wednesday. All in all though, the winners were just as humble as the losers. Otis chimed in about his one on one with Tim Labauf, and the Extrovert thinks Glenn can't appreciate nothing after 1979. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

11.6.7

Well it's Election Day and Glenn couldn't care less. In fact he had other non-election stories today that could bore the heck out of anybody. But don't worry, they were limited to short spurts throughout the show. Plus, Jim Leven came in to encourage people to vote too, what a guy!

MP3 File

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

10.31.7

It's for the kids, that' why Glenn began the show with a reminder that this week is Children's Miracle Network week! Community Broadcasters has partnered with CMN for years, and this year it even includes AM1240. However, the show did resemble a normal 'Live at Five' show, with several callers throughout the hour. Plus, Glenn made a big deal about his personal space, something that the extrovert gave a name to later on. Oh, Jim Leven also came in to discuss CMN and wound up getting into an argument with the 'Gun Nut' over sex offenders. See you all tomorrow!

How's this, two shows in one! That's right, today's post starts with an abbreviated Tuesday show, with the last 33 minutes from yesterday's show, which was never posted. Why? Internet problems. So, today's post begins with a discussion about the re-naming of City Center Drive, then yesterday's show kicks in at around 44 minutes into today's show. Confused? Don't worry, you'll like it anyway!

MP3 File

Friday, October 26, 2007

10.26.7

Hey now, it's a Friday version of the Live at Five Show. Glenn began with his impression of last night's Jeff Graham Rally he MC'd. However, Glenn felt too many people in the back of the event (who had nothing to do with the rally) made too much noise! Anyway, Johnny Spezzano sat in for a bit today discussing tomorrow night's bash at the Stick. Then Sharon asked Glenn if he was interested in getting a costume tonight, Glenn declined. Good call also with SG who got no love last night for his Dog Park event. Have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, October 25, 2007

10.24.7

Glenn had a wonderful show with Independence Chaiman, Mr. Frank MacKay from Long Island. But Glenn had to leave early today for an event at Ives Hill for the mayor. Listen and enjoy today's very political show.

MP3 File

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

10.24.7

What a turn around in 'attitude'. That's right, yesterday Glenn 'poo-pooed' Senator Wright's defense of the North Country in Albany. Today, it was 'pro' Senator Wright day, when Glenn aired the heated discussion on the show today. This ignited some support for the Senator and gradually led our host to another entertaining show, despite the fact that some sport discussion about referees and umpires popped up three times. See ya!

MP3 File

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

10.23.7

Ok, according to Glenn, Northern NY is not a real target to the terrorists. Plus, it's not important to read beyond the 'headlines' because headlines speak for themselves. Oh, if you live in a million dollar house around broken driftwood, you almost deserve to lose your house to fire. Finally, the GB 5 story came back to the show, when Glenn read the response from the players' parents. Good show, see you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Monday, October 22, 2007

10.22.7

Listen to find out what potential squirmish Glenn almost got into this past Friday at the Ugly Stick Saloon. Seems Glenn was at the wrong place at the wrong time again, but nothing happened in the end, except a storyline for today's show. Aside for that, Glenn discussed the problems with the strike zone in baseball. Plus, Lower State St. is almost done! Oh, SG called again and admitted that his drive for a 'Dog Park' is actually helping him pick up women. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Thursday, October 18, 2007

10.18.7

Joe Torre, Pakistan, who's gay and who's not, plus more with Jim Leven during a very entertaining Live at Five Show this afternoon. Plus, for the first time ever, a conference call with both Dan the Dam and his brother the Duff. Then Glenn went off on a tangent and lost both of them. Good show throughout, see you tomorrow!

MP3 File

What's happening at the Zoo? Well, listen to today's show with in-studio guest John Foster, the Director of the Thompson Park Zoo. Despite the troubles in recent years, our friend John feels the zoo is clearly back where it belongs. Several callers today, even after it was discovered the phones once again weren't working! Anyway, listen and enjoy. Oh! Glenn wasn't available to do a show yesterday, which explains why nothing was posted.

MP3 File

Monday, October 15, 2007

10.15.7

It's a beautiful day in the AM1240 studio, but wait no one wanted to chime in today. That's ok, that's when our 'so-called' host just rambles on about whatever comes to his mind first. First, it was Glenn talking about (2) HBO shows, one of which is very graphic. This spurned some conversation, but things really picked up, not really, when Jim Leven dropped by. Hey, the Farmer's Market is coming to the Arcade! See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Friday, October 12, 2007

10.12.7

After Glenn featured today's urgent news it was observation time regarding today's Newzjunky stories. This included the Prostitution 'sting' in Syracuse. After that it was a ranting 'Crazy Ray', then it was a woman who's afraid of sending her car to Ray's work place! Then it was a hilarious story about Glenn's sister Peggy who thought Glenn could hook her up with Al Sharpton for an interview! Then it was a discussion about 70s TV shows including 'Happy Day's. Speaking of which, have a Happy Weekend.

MP3 File

Thursday, October 11, 2007

10.11.7

So, where are we? What shall we talk about? Well, Glenn wanted to talk about Aliens from space, but instead it became a conversation about illegal aliens from Mexico again! This was about the same time Jim Leven dropped by to join the conversation insensing our friend Mr. E. Good stuff too from the Duff boys and beyond, see you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

10.10.7

Hey now, what day is it anyway? Glenn got on late, but got things started right off the bat. With what, this writer doesn't know, he's busy and has to leave the building. Anyway, listen to a whole range of topics today and enjoy!

MP3 File

Tuesday, October 9, 2007

10.9.7

R.I.P. '07 Yankees...that's all we can say about that. Well, the show must go on however, so our so-called host lamented at first then moved on to the days' business. Two articles got Glenns' attention, including an article about local sports on TV news and lewd sex activity in public bathrooms. Have a great day!

MP3 File

Monday, October 8, 2007

10.8.7

Glenn had a 'lost dog' announcement today to see if anyone spotted his friends' dog 'Lucy'. After that, 'Crazy Ray' dragged out the GB5 story, then the show turned into an anti-Al Gore episode! That's right, Glenn somehow got on the topic of 'Global Warming' and received several callers who believe we have nothing to worry about. See you tomorrow, and if you see a black poodle around town call 785-0058! Thank you!

MP3 File

Thursday, October 4, 2007

10.4.7

Hey now, the show moved back to another topic, actually it didn't and yes more was added to our GB5 story, but for the most part, today's show was a typical a show as ever. Glenn was interested in what Duff had to say about public sentiment towards the show. More about Martin Moot on Ward St. and Glenn talked quite a bit about the delelopment of rental housing vs. new home construction for the military. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

10.3.7

Well now, it looks like our so-called host has a change of heart. After further review our friend Glenn believes that the GB 5 should have been penalized after all. Although a whole season was still a high penalty, he now has a better understanding of what led up to the incident and ultimately the decision by the coach. None-the-less, our General Brown story took the entire show for two straight days.

MP3 File

Tuesday, October 2, 2007

10.2.7

Well, Glenn first got into his sports mode, then it was Brittany Spears, then it was a local story of football players being released from their team due to on-school art work depicting a marijuana plant. Glenn's opinion of the decision sparked plenty of responses on today's two-sided show. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Monday, October 1, 2007

10.1.7

Back in the saddle again for a Monday show! Glenn had some fun with the local DWI arrests, then had some fun with the Amazing Mets! Good show, especially at the end with 'Crazy Ray' and the returning Jim Leven. See ya!

MP3 File

Friday, September 28, 2007

9.27.7

This show has been posted late, but don't worry, it's Thursday's 'Live at Five' show from 9.27.7. No, what you just read makes no sense, but here's Thursday's show, because the writer to this description forgot what was spoken about from this particular show!

MP3 File

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

9.26.7

It's very important to learn how to read at an early age, that's why Glenn had Jennifer Hodge in the studio today to discuss this Saturdays' 'Project Healthy Reading' at Walmart. Of course, some begrudging calls from some people about our 'handout' society, but it was all for fun. Other than that, youre normal 'Live at Five' show for the second half.

MP3 File

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

9.25.7

Glenn agrees, he just wasn't himself yesterday, but he made up for lost time this afternoon. First, it was the same old Glenn describing re-runs of the 'Sopranos' and another reality show about lottery winners. Then Ray chimed in with his latest 'diet' report. Glenn took over with his love for large mirrors in hotel bathrooms. Good commentary from the mic, including our perception of the urban community. Oh, which is it? Your wife leaves you for a 16 year old, or another woman? You decide!

MP3 File

Monday, September 24, 2007

9.24.7

He's back! Glenn sat alone trying to remember what he did in North Carolina in the last four days. Sharon called to give him some help, so Glenn was back on track to discuss his trip after all. 'Crazy Ray' called to say his diet is in full swing. Glenn wants him to weigh himself to demonstrate progress. Oh, Randy the soldier called with some insight to where Glenn visited and also offered some nice words about the show. Oh, WPPG lives and called right at the end with some impersonations of the show!

MP3 File

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

9.19.7

Hey now! Great weather, great show indeed! Well, you be the judge. Anyway, our friend the WPPG dude
is leaving the area for a while, but he left us with his 'arresting' story that happened yesterday in Watertown.
Long but good story. Of course, our friend Jim Leven was in at one point but left to attend an after-after function.
Another WPPG installment and Glenn had plenty to say about 'Zip' and the dog guy 'SG'. Glenn won't be in
town for a few days, but will be back next Monday! Have a great weekend till then!

MP3 File

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

9.18.7

Say, no bodies were discovered last night, but Glenn did uncover another Mr. Moot story today. Oh, long conversation with 'Dan the Dem' plus 'Crazy Ray' has pledged to lose weight! Glenn was 'tearie-eyed' today when he heard the young singers on the 'Hotline'. See you all tomorrow!

MP3 File

Monday, September 17, 2007

9.17.7

With the discovery of (2) missing bodies yesterday, Mondays' show was like a CSI episode. Glenn was shocked about the arrest of the boyfriend who may have had something to do with one of the remains discovered on Sunday. Not many calls, but Joe Brosk stepped in to chat about the O.J. Simpson robbery case. See ya!

MP3 File

Friday, September 14, 2007

9.14.7

Well, what did we talk about? For starters, Glenn was happy with his performance last night at Pete's Restaurant. WPPG and others talked about that, but for the most part, it was your normal show. Good chatter about the New England Patriots and their 'cheating' ways. Have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, September 13, 2007

9.12.7

Boxing, boxing, boxing, that's what the topic was today! Sit back and relax to a conversation between our 'so-called host', John Gibbons, Janine and John Pepe. The big finish to the event originally scheduled in July happens this Sunday. Some controversy too today, some 'sour grapes' from those who were 'ring side'. Good show!

MP3 File

Tuesday, September 11, 2007

9.11.7

Six years later and it's still very sad to see the events of '01 on TV. As they say though, "The show must go on!" So, Glenn kept things 'upbeat' today with discussions about divorce, senior citizens, SG the 'Dog Guy' and oh yes the guy who crashed a stolen truck in Watertown. Plus, Glenn received another seat belt ticket. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Monday, September 10, 2007

9.10.7

It's a 'Doggie Dog' world, and Glenn was all over it today with SG (Glenn thought is was SD), Rande Richardson and Andrea Phifer from JCC. All 3 were in the studio to discuss this Sunday's 'Wag-A-Thon' at Thompson Park. Good calls throughout, because Glenn can never stick to just one topic in 55 minutes. Oh, Glenn was upset today about losing his laptop! He's somewhat comical about it.

MP3 File

Friday, September 7, 2007

9.7.7

Somewhat of simple show today, with Glenn taking calls from various people. Wow! Glenn got subpoened today to show up in court next Monday for a domestic case. Glenn took calls to get some advice. Victor called with Canadian radio news, and John Gibbons called to vent his frustrations about the local media's reluctance to promote the boxing clubs' free event next week. Have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, September 6, 2007

9.6.7

Humid outside the AM1240 studios, and yes, hot inside. While Glenn slumbered through the show looking for callers, things got interesting at the end of today's show when Jim Leven brought in a listener who took offense to Glenn's use of the term 'fat people'. Well, while Glenn may have been a bit caught off guard, he did insist that those who struggle with weight problems often suffer later in life. In the end it was all good between the 3 in the studio. Oh, good calls too from 'Crazy Ray', 'Dan the Dem' and Sam Verback.

MP3 File

Wednesday, September 5, 2007

9.5.7

Summer may be over, but things are still 'hot' in the AM1240 studio. Jim Leven shared some stories this afternoon, including some reports of his 7 year marriage. He also talked about saving his cats years ago. These topics attracted callers including one lady who believes Glenn is too nosey! Big announcement, since its political season Jeff Graham will have to sit it out until Election Day. Kevin the pilot called, plus WPPG not only called but had another installment for today's show. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

9.4.7

Sad, but it's the way it is, summer is officially over. Well, does that mean the show is over? Not a chance! In fact, Glenn had a lot to say about his Labor Day Weekend, including his tidal wave story on the St. Lawrence river with his brother, sister in law and Sharon's daughter and friend. 'Crazy Ray' chimed in about derelict behavior in the bathroom and John Gibbons had his boxing update. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Friday, August 31, 2007

8.31.7

Our so-called host was in rare form today, perhaps it was because the Summer of '07 is officially coming to a conclusion! Thus, it was open phone Friday! Great calls from 'Crazy Ray' the 'AM Lady', 'Intern Keri' and of course the 'Duff'. Some AM talk, why average drunks get screwed by the system and when should you use a public restroom for number 2. All this and more on today's show! Have a great Labor Day weekend!

MP3 File

Thursday, August 30, 2007

8.30.7

Well Glenn had some things to say about his jaded cat named 'Bernie'. It seems house pets can manipulate their owners quite well. Newzjunky.com had a line-up of Senator Craig links today. Wow! Glenn had some cramps at the end of the show that took him away from the microphone for a couple of minutes. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

A very tired Glenn Curry yawned through today's show. But, after getting calls from the usual suspects, he got revitalized! Well, not really! Samantha called twice while Glenn barely spoke between long yawns. Don't get the wrong idea, this post is still worth listening. More about Senator Stall and Glenn had some touching things to say about the passing of Richard Jewel, the guy who was wrongfully accused of igniting a bomb during the '96 Olympics in Atlanta.

It's your normal but not so normal show today. It included several conversations with the 'usual suspects' and not so 'usual'. Glenn talked with a tribute act who will be performing live at the Clayton Opera House tomorrow night. The couple was nice enough to recite a Johnny Cash song too. Other than that it was just another good show which included another SD call, all the Duffs and a shortened call with WPPG.

Well, Operation Rock is done, and what a success it was! Glenn discussed the events' upside and downsides from Saturday. All in all though, Glenn realizes an event like that does have merit to the many youngins' who appreciate loud senseless music. Oh, Glenn had some damaging comments about Owen Wilson's suicide attempt last night. Jim Leven came in too to talk about the concert from Saturday.

Well, it's done. What you ask? A simultaneous interview between the AM1240 studio and the WPPG dude at the Arcade. A little crazy at times, but a success none the less. Why do we say this? Just listen and find out. Glenn had Tommy O'Reily in the studio while the interviews came in every 5 minutes or so from the Arcade. Fun show, crazy, but fun.

Be all you can be in an Army 'Strong' men and women. Of course, to create an army you need quality recruiters and that's who Glenn had on today's show. Sergeant First Class Philbrick and Staff Sergeant Larson discussed today's army and today's recruitment process. Great discussions, even though it turned into an episode of 'Hannity and Combs' from time to time. See you tomorrow!

Somber show today, just a day after a well-known female executive ijn Watertown died in a motorcycle accident. Several callers chimed in about the accident to convey their thoughts and condolences. On a happier note, the WPPG dude created a high intensive radio spot featuring Jim Leven as a rock star. Drive safely, you never know who's running a red light or a stop sign.

Shorter than normal show today, but worth listening too. Why? Why not? Anyway, Dan the Dem, the Dog guy and oh yes, a lame WPPG segment from the 'Hotline' show. That's ok, though, we had plenty of fun on today's show, no Leven neither...pardon me grammer.

Wow! Glenn had quite a day, including guiding traffic at a reduced gasoline mini-mart event. But like they say, the show must go on! Good stuff from the remote too, including Jim Leven questioning Glenn about a business deal while Glenn struggled to keep traffic flowing! Louie called with some good ideas, and Glenn proposed that the WPPG dude do a live remote during next Wedneday's show

A rather tired but strangely enthusiastic Glenn arrived in the studio today to entertain the masses to the best of his ability. Good stuff too, about what, we still don't know, but good talk about muslims, the war and yes who parked the station vehicle on the grass across from the Duff's house? Oh, the latest WPPG installment too, this time an irate girl chastised Glenn for using the term 'Broad' when referring to women. See you tomorrow!

Tuesday's show went from no direction to another, but then again that's the 'nature' of the show! Bad news from Yankee land with the passing of the 'Scooter' Phil Rizzuto. Glenn glanced at the top stories from NewzJunky and yes, the two owners stopped by to listen in on the WPPG's latest recorded installment.

MP3 File

Glenn's back from his short family gathering and yes, he had more Curry stories to share with everyone. It's all good stuff of course, yet very similar to other people's 'family situation'. In fact, Glenn's friend Diane Kimble talked about her own dad and his 'all knowing' ways as well as her new job as a real estate agent. Good solid show, ended with the 4th straight installment of the WPPG dude.

MP3 File

8.10.7

Wow! Glenn had a real life 'rock' star on the show this afternoon. Stevie Benton from the band 'Drowning Pool' chimed in at the outset of today's show to discuss his bands' involvement with returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. They're pushing a bill in congress that will improve medical treatment for those soldiers who need it most. From there, it was business as usual including the Duff, Dan and yes the 'Dog Park' dude. Oh, installment 3 from the WPPG too, as well as a description of a guy who passed his own gas on 'Airforce 1'. Have a great weekend! Remember, there was no show yesterday!

Hey now, Glenn was back in the awake saddle again today! Plenty of sleep for our 'so-called host' made for yet another entertaining show! Glenn began the program with breaking news from a domestic incident in Watertown, then casually covered more of the concern for sex offenders living in public motels. Plenty of calls, and yes another installment from WPPG!

Does your family have division problems? Glenn's does, and as sad as its gotten, it still makes for good radio. This was the topic of the day as 'Dan the Dem' chimed in about his own family issue, then later, the WPPG dude did too. Cashier Tom sat in during the second half, as Glenn poked fun at various stories. Great show, plus it ended with the 'Man on the Street' segment too!

Good show, but the 'so-called' host had to go to fix the 'Square Cam' and then head off to meet the 'lovely' Sharon on the water! Speaking of water, Glenn discussed the horrible bridge collapse in Minnesota. Then it was a discussion about friendships in the work-place. See you all tomorrow!

Hey now! Day 1 to Year 2 today at 199 Wealtha Ave. A vibrant show today, despite the fact the phones weren't working at the outset. Glenn was solo today, plus took a call at the end of the show from his Queens friend John McHugh. Good stuff from start to finish!

Hey it's a one year anniversary show! After Glenn had obvious problems with the cd players, he finally managed to play clips from last year's 'sale' announcement. From there, it was callers expressing their opinions of the station a year later! Then, it was back to business with the man on the street interviews with the 'Witness Protection Program Guy'. See you tomorrow!

MP3 File

Friday, July 27, 2007

7.27.7

Wow! Glenn was upset about the horrible story he read from the Hartford Connecticut area. This crime led Glenn to talk about other crazy things, including an odd conversation with Samantha, Crazy Ray and Duff. Funny stuff though, including a call from the Witness Protection Guy who says Glenn can make most anything funny! Have a great weekend!

MP3 File

Hey now, the mayor himself, Jeff Graham stopped by the studio today. Jeff offered some personal insight to his taste in music, movies and other pop culture elements. It's the whatever comes to mind 'Live at Five' show today. As always, Glenn started off with his usual banter, including his attraction to Lindsey Lohan's latest mug shot. Then it was the usual suspects, including 'Crazy Ray', George and yes the man on the street the 'Witness Protection Program Guy'. Glenn wanted to give the WPPG some new guidelines for his 'on the street' questions. No Leven today, see you tomorrow!

What a great Elvis tribute show on Friday, but can people mow their lawn when Glenn's not around. Anyway, after Glenn went on about his weekend sleep problems, things got pretty busy today on the show. One, 'Crazy Ray' is worried about our train system, especially after what happened today near Fort Drum. Then Leven joined the conversation, right until the end. See you tomorrow!

Hey now! It's a Friday edition of the Live at Five show, and what a show it was. First, the 'on the street' reporter 'Witness Protection Guy' submitted 4 short street interviews and Glenn played them! Johnny Spezzano was in the studio as well as the 'lovely' Sharon. Great show, a keeper!

Wow! An excellent guest today, NHL standout and Clarkson grad, Chris Clark was in the studio today. Chris is in the off-season and took some time away from his home in Henderson to talk with Glenn today. He spoke of his days at Clarkson and his to become Captain of the Washington Capitals. Glenn took calls, and yes, Jim Leven came in too!

MP3 File

When nothing goes wrong, there seems to be less to talk about. But after Crazy Ray called in his re-cycling issues, while Glenn tried his best to stay serious. It's a Doggie-Dog world, and Glenn was all over it this afternoon. In-studio guest Scott Gates wants to build a 'Dog Park' in the city, so what better way to spread the word before he presents his plan to city council next Monday, than to come to AM1240 on the 'Live at Five' show. Listen, laugh, enjoy...today's show was a doozy!

Wouldn't you know it, still something about nothing and some other things in between. Today's top local story exposed a Watertown home full of dead cats! A caller later claimed the same Columbia St. house has always been a slum. The Duff brothers had an on-air 'spat' exchange and Jim Leven (along with Donald Trump) came in to talk about the big 'Rock' concert!

Give Glenn a reason to recite a song or movie scene and he'll take it all the way! It was a zany 'Show before a Holiday' edition. Glenn took several callers who chimed in about their own 4th of July experiences, including Duff's story of his brother Dan (Dan the Democrat) who put a lit firecracker in his mouth thinking it was out! Oz came in to the studio to discuss his outing with strippers at a Car Dealer Radio remote. Oh, yesterday's show will be uploaded soon! Have a safe holiday!

For the last Friday in June, Glenn sat down with Boxing club organizer Kevin Oliver to discuss the upcoming boxing event at the Jefferson County Fair. Boxing was the emphasis today, however Glenn was very interested in Kevin's job as a commercial pilot for Southwest Airlines. That's when Jim Leven chimed in from his car on Rt. 81 to brag about his own pilot experiences. John Gibbons called at the tail end to promote a car wash tomorrow for the club. Have a great weekend!

Tim, Tim, Tim, that's what was a lot of people's minds today. That's Tim LaBauf, councilman currently running for Mayor of Watertown. While Glenn had his own slant on his bid for Mayor, he couldn't imagine how many people chimed in about the reverend. Good content in and out of the LaBauf topic including a conversation with Oz and his account of the WWE wrestler Benoit who killed himself and his family. Also, more random acts of violence in the city, a second Taxi cab driver was robbed two days in a row. See you on Wednesday!

We've seen a lot of bad things in the North Country, but nonthing as bad as the story we read about this past weekend in 3 Mile Bay. Afterwards, Jim Leven came in to talk about his trip to New York with Johnny Spezzano.

For now, here's Friday's show, where we covered lunch give-aways and the high cost of 801 housing. This sent us once again in the area of military compensation. Well looked who came in to say hi, both Community Broadcast owners Jim Leven and Brue Mittman. Of course, when this happens, politics, 'what's Glenn doing on the job?, and where are your cousins today comes to the table. Then the second half was spent talking about the first half for a bit, until Glenn took over with his normal genius assessments on life, including the power of broadband internet.

The John Tesh Show, a new winery sponsor and no, there's nothing real juicy happening in Watertown these days. So Glenn had to improvise. Well, today was a good day to improvise, especially when a girl name Theng called in looking for Jim Leven. This girl claimed to have been an employee at a gentlemen's club. Glenn had fun with the unsuspecting caller until she hung up. Other than that, it was a fine show today inside the AM1240 studios. Have a great weekend!

What's in Glenn's hands? Don't know, but if he had it his way, it would be a lot more interesting on the radio. This was just one gripe Glenn shared with listeners today. Other disussions included 'war talk' once again. Glenn doesn't know how these discussions get started, but when they do, it never seems to stop. War callers included Dan the Dem, George, Gunnut and the Intelligent Guy. See you tomorrow!

Glenn wanted to know how soldiers like Sergeant Nicorvo go about their business in a war-zone. Several callers chimed in with questions, and of course some callers had their own agenda. However, a very observant show to the day to day activities in a country who truly needed our assistance.

There will be no bad ending to this program, that's a half-ass garauntee! Glenn went off on the Sopranos ending, but admitted it was a smart move to keep the characters alive for another venture. Today's show skipped around, then Jim Leven came in to talk about radio in the 70s. Good chat about an old lady too that uses her motorized wheel chair to go shopping on Arsenal St. See you tomorrow!

Today's show was somewhat subdued, but entertaining. Dan the Dem called in with a bad cold, while his brother chimed in too to talk about the poor little rich girl Paris Hilton and her trip back to the can. What's in an old cemetary? History, that's what. Today's show centered on the adopt a plot program put in motion by Cathy Plante Hunt. Cathy was kind enough to share her desire to improve the forgotten grave sights on Arsenal St. Then Glenn got an intriguing call from an older lady who knew quite a bit of history about the cemetary. She also was a decendent to several famous Watertown families. Great show!

Greetings! Well Glenn was in the saddle again, but first he made it quite clear that he would never go on for too long with a caller. He didn't realize this until listening to yesterday's show with the dude from Rodman. As for today's show Glenn did some role playing with both Samantha and Crazy Ray. The Thursday caller chimed in and Dan the Dem still thinks Glenn is an extreme conservative, no wait that Glenn is the biggest liberal he ever heard of. That's right, nothing he said made any sense again. Kinney Drugs is now a major sponsor to the Live at Five Show Yeyyyyy!

MP3 File

Wow! How many arguments can you fit into one show? Well, listen and find out how many. Glenn mention the ongoing war, and got a mouthfull from several callers. After conversations with Crazy Ray (about nothing) and Sopranos talk with the Extravert, it was war talk again with the Rodman Democrat. In the end though, Glenn thinks it's pretty funny that Senator Clinton has a new foe and he's got less experience than she does. Good show!

Glenn made it back from another 'Boys Weekend'. Despite the fact that Glenn was in a blur today, he did manage to put on a good show. Local political gossip suggests Tim LaBauf will run for council again, then a caller chimed in about Glenn taking too much show time about the Sopranos, but the Extravert didn't agree and continued the conversation later on in the show. Jim Leven explainened Friday's fender bender and George gave us a history lesson about Midway.

While Glenn was very critical of the way the NY Mets act in their dugout, it didn't help to see A Rod act like the 'bush-leaguer' he really is in last night's game in Toronto. After that was discussed, Samantha gave us her reasons why she should get her children back. Things moved along well enough, then it was traffic laws, 4-way stop signs and speedometer signs that tell you how fast you're going. Glenn thinks every school district in the country should have one, but not enough tickets would be issued to generate municipal revenue.

Yet, a lovely caller chimed in and thought leaving a gas nozzle in your gas valve shows that some people struggle with the simple stuff more than she does. Crazy Ray thinks the government has a 'grand plan' in Iraq and tomorrow, we give away a mattress set! Word of the day today? Gangs. Why? Because of the recent article about 'gang' activity at Watertown High School.

This is when Glenn and Jim Leven discussed in detail the real problems with the mid-east conflict. Of course, as expected our neighborhood conservative, 'George' had some choice words of his own for our liberal in charge. Good trip and plenty of digital pics to share, and they're both back in one piece, actually two pieces. Anyway, today's word of the day is 'Irrentainment'. Our community has been through a lot, but this is truly horrible on those related to the missing Fort Drum soldiers. After giving away a prize to a school bus driver Glenn took the show in a serious direction. The latest Iraq incident really hits home in our Fort Drum community, yet Glenn feels we've become disensitized about the war.
