6.29.7

For the last Friday in June, Glenn sat down with Boxing club organizer Kevin Oliver to discuss the upcoming boxing event at the Jefferson County Fair. Boxing was the emphasis today, however Glenn was very interested in Kevin's job as a commercial pilot for Southwest Airlines. That's when Jim Leven chimed in from his car on Rt. 81 to brag about his own pilot experiences. John Gibbons called at the tail end to promote a car wash tomorrow for the club. Have a great weekend!

Good show, but a lathargic Glenn could barely write a description today, enjoy!

Tim, Tim, Tim, that's what was a lot of people's minds today. That's Tim LaBauf, councilman currently running for Mayor of Watertown. While Glenn had his own slant on his bid for Mayor, he couldn't imagine how many people chimed in about the reverend. Good content in and out of the LaBauf topic including a conversation with Oz and his account of the WWE wrestler Benoit who killed himself and his family. Also, more random acts of violence in the city, a second Taxi cab driver was robbed two days in a row. See you on Wednesday!

We've seen a lot of bad things in the North Country, but nonthing as bad as the story we read about this past weekend in 3 Mile Bay. Glenn spent some time with callers today talking about the senseless loss of 3 young children killed in a auto accident. Then Cashier Tom came in to share some thougths. Afterwards, Jim Leven came in to talk about his trip to New York with Johnny Spezzano.

Hey Now! WE'RE BACK! Sorry, Hipcact.com was down this week, but I will have Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays' shows posted soon! For now, here's Friday's show, where we covered lunch give-aways and the high cost of 801 housing. This sent us once again in the area of military compensation. Many men called in with their views of military salaries and the cost of living. We're back on the Blogger, be sure to listen to the other shows from this past week when they're finally posted!

Well looked who came in to say hi, both Community Broadcast owners Jim Leven and Brue Mittman. Of course, when this happens, politics, 'what's Glenn doing on the job?, and where are your cousins today comes to the table. Then the second half was spent talking about the first half for a bit, until Glenn took over with his normal genius assessments on life, including the power of broadband internet.

The John Tesh Show, a new winery sponsor and no, there's nothing real juicy happening in Watertown these days. So Glenn had to improvise. Well, today was a good day to improvise, especially when a girl name Theng called in looking for Jim Leven. This girl claimed to have been an employee at a gentlemen's club. Glenn had fun with the unsuspecting caller until she hung up. Other than that, it was a fine show today inside the AM1240 studios. Have a great weekend!

What's in Glenn's hands? Don't know, but if he had it his way, it would be a lot more interesting on the radio. This was just one gripe Glenn shared with listeners today. Other disussions included 'war talk' once again. Glenn doesn't know how these discussions get started, but when they do, it never seems to stop. War callers included Dan the Dem, George, Gunnut and the Intelligent Guy. See you tomorrow!

Well, when one has a lot to say, sometimes, you just let them let it all out in one sitting. That was the case today when the extravert chimed in about our esteemed leader Jim Leven. Listen and find out why the Extravert appears to be obsessed with the radio owner. Other than that, a pretty clean show today. See you tomorrow!

It was a very special edition of the 'Live at Five Show' today with Sergeant First Class Edward Nicorvo. Our own Holly Nicorvo is happy to see her husband return from his second tour. Glenn wanted to know how soldiers like Sergeant Nicorvo go about their business in a war-zone. Several callers chimed in with questions, and of course some callers had their own agenda. However, a very observant show to the day to day activities in a country who truly needed our assistance.

There will be no bad ending to this program, that's a half-ass garauntee! Glenn went off on the Sopranos ending, but admitted it was a smart move to keep the characters alive for another venture. Today's show skipped around, then Jim Leven came in to talk about radio in the 70s. Good chat about an old lady too that uses her motorized wheel chair to go shopping on Arsenal St. See you tomorrow!

Today's show was somewhat subdued, but entertaining. Dan the Dem called in with a bad cold, while his brother chimed in too to talk about the poor little rich girl Paris Hilton and her trip back to the can. Glenn had little sympathy for Hilton, but had some fun with the story on today's show. Glenn spent some time talking about the Jefferson County survey completed at JCC. Have a great weekend!

What's in an old cemetary? History, that's what. Today's show centered on the adopt a plot program put in motion by Cathy Plante Hunt. Cathy was kind enough to share her desire to improve the forgotten grave sights on Arsenal St. Then Glenn got an intriguing call from an older lady who knew quite a bit of history about the cemetary. She also was a decendent to several famous Watertown families. Great show!

Greetings! Well Glenn was in the saddle again, but first he made it quite clear that he would never go on for too long with a caller. He didn't realize this until listening to yesterday's show with the dude from Rodman. As for today's show Glenn did some role playing with both Samantha and Crazy Ray. The Thursday caller chimed in and Dan the Dem still thinks Glenn is an extreme conservative, no wait that Glenn is the biggest liberal he ever heard of. That's right, nothing he said made any sense again. Kinney Drugs is now a major sponsor to the Live at Five Show Yeyyyyy!

Wow! How many arguments can you fit into one show? Well, listen and find out how many. Glenn mention the ongoing war, and got a mouthfull from several callers. After conversations with Crazy Ray (about nothing) and Sopranos talk with the Extravert, it was war talk again with the Rodman Democrat. In the end though, Glenn thinks it's pretty funny that Senator Clinton has a new foe and he's got less experience than she does. Good show!

Glenn made it back from another 'Boys Weekend'. Despite the fact that Glenn was in a blur today, he did manage to put on a good show. Local political gossip suggests Tim LaBauf will run for council again, then a caller chimed in about Glenn taking too much show time about the Sopranos, but the Extravert didn't agree and continued the conversation later on in the show. Jim Leven explainened Friday's fender bender and George gave us a history lesson about Midway.

Glenn had to leave the studio quickly today, but take a listen to today's show. It's a doozy, why? Well it's the first weekend in June, that means it's 'Boys Weekend' in Three Mile Bay. Two calls too from some of the guys, plus some other usual suspects. Have a great weekend!
