7.31.8

Good way to end a short week for our 'so-called host'. Glenn took things in stride today from start to finish. A good Thursday conversation wtih the Duff, Dan the Dem, Crazy Ray and Sam Verback. Terrible story about a man who cut off another man's head in Canada, and plenty of gasoline talk too. See you all on Monday!

A light-hearted show today with our so-called host. Glenn had a good discussion with 'Dan the Dem' about movie legend Cary Grant. Then it was a bit of this and a bit of that. Oh, Johnny Spezzano called while sitting 63 feet about our local SPCA. The 'Gun-Nut' called in too about the state of the state of NY. Good call. Yankees get 'Pudge' Rodriquez and they won too today 13-4!

After Glenn realized Attorney Joe Stanley wasn't calling in today, he just went into his 'typical' Glenn mood. You know, no direction what so ever, yet surprisingly, good radio none-the-less. Good stuff, including the difference between being bailed out of jail or on bond, and Otis owest the Labor Dept. money from 1988. Oh, a local radio report from Victor too!

Yippeee! Glenn found his keys! He found them still on the roof of the station vehicle two days after he left them there! Anyway, some airport terminal talk today. This, after the problems at JFK. Our own Jim Leven gave his account of what happened last night at the Jet Blue terminal. Other than that, business as usual today!

What is it with the term 'White Guilt', Glenn had a look at its meaning while equating it to the Obama movement. Good political chatter throughout the first half of today's show. Then it was a little of this and that for a great way to end the week. Oh, yes, Public Square is going to be interesting when it's completed. Why? Well it appears the designers added more sidewalk than road. Have a great weekend!

Yes, we were gone yesterday, but back today speaking with cancer survivors Jeff Wook and brother Stever Wood. Both were here today to talk about their 6th Bicycle Run for Testicular cancer research. Also, Jeff Wood talked about the book he wrote this year titled 'Riding the Line'. The book covers the time of his illness along with the difficulty of running his growing business. Good show about a very important topic.

Hey now, it's Glenn being lawyer-like with Attorney Joe Stanley, then it was a bizzare discussion with 'Dan the Dem' who questions the true hero status of Sen. John McCain and all those who didn't survive war. Crazy right? Well, some chimed in later about that but not too much. No show tomorrow!

Glenn was back again today, and explained why he was out on Friday. But, the Jeff. Co. Webboard had their own ideas to why Glenn was absent, so Glenn had fun with that thread. Other than that, it was the big council meeting 'live' on the web tonight courtesy of Steve Weed Productions. Then, Jim Leven stopped by where Glenn was in the middle of talking about the Dennis Kozlowsky story on TV last night. Good to be back!

The Top reasons you're in front of a welfare house continued today, with new additions to yesterday's list. Our Tuesday edition also included another conversation with our friend Attorney Joe Stanley. Other than that, it was Glenn being Glenn, hit play and see why people, for reasons we still don't know, still listen to this guy.

Welcome back to Glenn's 'piss on my grave' corner'. Hi, this is Glenn Curry, the 'so-called' host of the 'Live at Five' Show. Today, I discovered how well-loved I am on the Jefferson County Jeff Board. Wow! I'm so blessed! Besides from that, it was the normal stuff I just can't remember right now!

High gas prices should mean new innovation. Glenn says, it will take a real leader to put us in the right direction when it comes to new energy alternatives. Glenn believes Hydrogen is the best answer simply because it would be a easier transition for car manufacturers. After that it was back to normal. An extended call with 'Crazy Ray' another call with tough guy Louie, and Glenn got a call from Karen's Cafte in Sackets Harbor. Oh, great night for the Bud Light promotion too last evening, Glenn explains.

It's another show about nothing, but somehow it's still worth listening to. Glenn had a pretty normal show about whatever came to mind, plus the top stories on NJ. Then, Glenn made a pledge not to talk about the 'DP' issue, that's 'Dog Park'. Honestly, Glenn feels many people simply don't want to hear anything more than they need to. Interestingly, Otis, a 'DP' hater, chimed in about the topic anyway.

For 'Hump' day, let's argue about the same topic, that is, why do we continue bringing the dog park thing up when the city and community has so many other details to care care of first. That's how crazy things have gotten. Anyway, the Border's Johnny Spezzano was in to talk about his own SPCA benefit this month and Glenn had a conversation with Frank Freely an Elvis impersonator who's promoting his show this Friday in Clayton.

What's a show without a genuine 'Lib' and a right of center 'Conservative' with our so-called host? Answer, listen to today's lively discussion between owners Bruce Mittman, Jim Leven and a slew of callers. Topics ranged from gas to war to the cost of a barrel of oil to refineries. Glenn of course had his occassional sly comment here and there.

Glenn was in rare form today, especially when it come to admitting what he did this past weekend. Jim Leven stopped by the the tail-end of the show, while Glenn dwelled on such topics as, Bank Holidays on a Friday, his day at the dump, and which long run TV shows he never watched. See you tomorrow!

It feels like a Friday, but it's the Thursday before July 4th. Plenty of fun today, between Dan the Dem's account of local PSA commercials to a rivoting discussion with Big Steve about the gas crunch. Also, Glenn described the great fireworks at Thompson Park last night. Have a great 4th of July weekend!

It's almost Independence Day, so today was the perfect time to speak to Attorney Stanley for fireworks issues and danger at the house. Then it was on to the usual nonsense, first a conversation with 'Celebrtiy' about the 'Red & Black' football team, and then on to the usual suspects about this, that and oh yes, why Glenn is so confused about Jennie Adsit and the other legislator with a similar name.

Gas prices and the arguments behind them. All that and the in-between comments from our so-called host throughout today's very entertaining show. Glenn is solo and a bit crazed today, especially with the extended 'Gunnut' call.
